Some things just don’t want to lie in peace.
A few days ago we received a strange correspondence from the City of Bee Cave. A check arrived entitled “Refund of Variance Fee”. It seems highly unusual that without any prompting from us that the City would refund a fee for a process that has been concluded.
Apparently at the most recent City Council Meeting, Councilman Murphy made an unsolicited proposal that our fee be refunded. It is our understanding that the motion was passed unanimously. Though we don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth, we cant help but be curious as to why the person who was most adamant that we were incorrect in our interpretation of the Code would make such a proposal.
We would welcome a response from Councilman Murphy.

For those of you who have been following the sign saga, it has finally come to an end. Jamie and Jorge from Custom Sign Creations were here yesterday to complete the install. Though it has been a long and arduous process, we are relatively pleased with the outcome.
